Participation is FREE and open to students grades K-5. Audition is required and a character or role is not guaranteed.

Please consider volunteering to help this event run smoothly and safely. Currently there are approximately 43 opportunities to contribute to this amazing experience for students. Volunteer opportunities include daily check-in and out help, stage set up, pre-performance concessions, etc and vary between 1-2 hours each.

Audition date is Monday November 18 from 4:00-6:00 PM in the gym.
Teachers will direct students to the gym after school if they are registered for the audition.
Student pick up is at 6:00 PM, parents need to come in to the gym and show ID
Parents/guardians for students in grades 3-5 should arrive at the gym at 6:00 PM on Monday Nov 18th with a snack or quick dinner in case their student is cast in a main role and they would need to stay for rehearsal that same evening.
Roles and final rehearsal schedule will be provided when the audition ends.

There are two rehearsals daily Tuesday to Friday that are approximately 2 hours each. Your child may need to attend one or both rehearsals depending on their character/ role.
Please pack your student a dinner Tuesday to Thursday if they need to attend both rehearsals (15 min break is between 1st and 2nd rehearsal).
In the past, most K-2 students have been asked to attend Rehearsal 1 (the earlier rehearsal) from Wednesday to Friday.
Monday: after the audition, main character 1st rehearsal: 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM
Tuesday: school dismissal @12:40 PM…. Rehearsal 1- 12:45-2:45 PM……Rehearsal 2 - 3:00-5:00 PM
Wednesday: school dismissal 2:30 PM….Rehearsal 1- 2:30-4:45 PM…..Rehearsal 2- 3:00-5:00 PM
Thursday school dismissal @12:40 PM…. Rehearsal 1- 12:45-2:45 PM……Rehearsal 2 - 3:00-5:00 PM
Friday school dismissal @12:40 PM…. Rehearsal 1- 12:45-3:45 ***Pizza Party *** Rehearsal 2 - 4:00-5:00 PM

Front row mats will be set up for smaller children to enjoy a front row view.
Suggested donation $5 per attendee or $10 per family
Videographer will be on site for the opportunity to purchase a recording of the performance.
Who is the Missoula Children’s Theatre?
From their headquarters in downtown Missoula, Montana, to far-reaching parts of the globe, the Missoula Children’s Theatre is an arts organization committed to the core goals of serving youth and adults alike with quality and accessible performing arts programming. MCT’s live, theatrical productions are widely regarded as entertaining, educational, and enriching experiences for performers and audiences alike. The Red Truck Tour is recognized as the world’s largest touring children’s theatre of its kind, and all programming serves MCT’s one mission.
A tour team arrives in our town in their Red Truck loaded with a set, lights, costumes, and props, everything it takes to put on a play…except the cast. The team holds an open audition and casts 50-60 local students to perform in the production.
The Hollywood Hill Elementary PTA is dedicated to the educational enrichment of students who are interested in the theater arts. Bringing this theater enrichment program to our school is made possible through the donations, fundraising efforts and the volunteerism of the HHE PTA community.
